When folks around here start asking whether they should limp their old HVAC system through December or go ahead and replace it now, Shawn gives the same honest truth every time. Nobody can predict the future, but we can work with what we know. And right now, what we know is pretty important.

There is a federal 25C tax credit available for qualifying high efficiency heating and cooling systems. It is a real tax credit worth up to $2000 dollars and it ends when the year ends. Whether something new rolls out in 2026 nobody knows. Washington is quieter than a church mouse right now and not offering any clues either way.

The good news is that the majority of the systems we install qualify under the program. Many other contractors offer qualifying options too, so it is not about sales pressure. It is about timing. If your system is living on borrowed time and you know replacement is coming, waiting until next year could cost you that two thousand dollar credit.

Financing exists for just about anything these days which makes the decision a lot easier on a family budget. If Shawn were doing this for his own home he would not roll the dice on losing that credit. He would take care of it now while the benefit is guaranteed.

This is not fear talk. This is simply giving you the facts so you can make the most educated and responsible choice for your home and your family. We are here to help you make a decision that fits your budget and keeps your home comfortable.

Love y’all. Take care.
